I had been dating a guy for about 4 months. He wasn’t a virgin and had been hinting more and more frequently that he was getting tired of “waiting for me to be ready” so one day, I basically just did it to shut him up. To add insult to injury, I had no idea what I was doing, and he basically did nothing to take the lead, so it was pretty miserable and pointless.

I don’t necessarily regret it, but I realized in later relationships that sex could actually be enjoyable and fun. So I lost my virginity for the wrong reason, but it hasn’t really affected me in the long term.
